Fernando Tatis Jr. Blasts Off Over Weekend Series
4 years agoSan Diego Padres shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr. finished 3-for-3 with two home runs, three runs scored and six RBI Sunday against the Seattle Mariners. El Niño continued his torrid run in his first at-bat, launching a no-doubter off starter Justin Dunn. He singled in a run in the sixth frame before crushing a grand slam one inning later to cap the fantastic afternoon. In four games since returning from the COVID-19 list, Tatis is 11-for-14 with eight extra-base hits including four dingers. Overall, he's slashing a surreal .309/.384/.727 with 13 homers, 10 steals and 56 runs-plus-RBI in 125 plate appearances. Stinging white-hot batted-balls, the 22-year-old is paying major dividends to fantasy investors.
