Fernando Tatis Jr. Heats Up With Two Dingers
4 years agoSan Diego Padres shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr. went 3-for-5 with two homers and three RBI Friday against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Amazingly, Tatis' double-dong night came on the 22nd anniversary of his dad famously slugging two grand slams in the same inning at Chavez Ravine. Both long balls were solo shots off Dodgers starter Clayton Kershaw and Tatis legged out an infield RBI single in his final at-bat. After a slow start and scary shoulder injury, El Niño has six hits in his last four games including three extra-base knocks. Slashing .208/.296/.479 in 54 plate appearances with four homers, two steals, 15 runs-plus-RBI and an elite batted-ball profile, fantasy managers should refrain from selling short.
