Fernando Tatis Jr. Helps Spoil Cardinals Home Opener
6 years agoSan Diego Padres shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr. went 2-for-4 with his second big league home run Friday against the St. Louis Cardinals. Tatis’ two-run blast in the seventh inning provided the insurance the Friars needed to secure the victory and spoil the Cards home opener. Through eight contests, the 20-year-old has started each game and is slashing .241/.290/.483 with seven runs-plus-RBI to go with the two dingers. Tatis has struck out eight times in 25 at-bats but has not seemed too overmatched. With his stellar defense, he looks like he belongs. The exciting prospect should be own in all fantasy formats.
