Fernando Tatis Jr. "Mimicking" Swings
2 years agoSan Diego Padres shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr. (wrist) has been "mimicking" swings for a few days and is to the point where there has been talk every day about his progress and what might come next. A CT scan on Tatis' wrist last Monday didn't show the desired level of healing that the Padres were looking for, so his timeline was pushed back a bit. The 23-year-old has been limited to running and fielding ground balls so far in his recovery from an offseason wrist fracture. However, it sounds as though the team could let him resume taking actual swings pretty soon. At best, Tatis' fantasy managers are probably looking at a return just before the All-Star break, but the best bet is that we won't see the superstar shortstop until the start of the second half of the season.
