Fernando Tatis Jr. Pops A Homer In Baltimore
6 years agoSan Diego Padres shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr. cracked a two-run homer on Tuesday against the Baltimore Orioles, his ninth of the season. Tatis also walked, was hit by a pitch, scored two runs and struck out twice in five plate appearances. The 20-year-old budding star continues to impress, slashing .323/.392/.585 on the season. Despite missing over a month from injury, he’s collected 59 runs-plus-RBI with nine steals to accompany the dingers. While his expected stats hint towards a severe decline in production, Tatis’ relentless hustle has made him one of baseball’s most exciting young players. Skeptical redraft fantasy owners could be keen to sell high but Tatis is a mandatory hold in any keeper or dynasty format.
