3 years agoSan Diego Padres shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr. went 1-for-3 with two walks, two RBI and three runs scored in a 24-8 win over the Nationals on Friday night. Tatis was replaced by pinch-runner Ha-Seong Kim in the sixth inning of the blowout, when San Diego was leading 18-4. It was a good performance for the star shortstop, who has been in a slump over his last seven games where he is slashing .143/.200/.250 with a 7:2 K:BB ratio. Friday's performance is a great way to kick off the second half, and managers should expect this to be the start of a return to form for Tatis, who is slashing .286/.368/.652 with 28 homers, 21 steals, 62 RBI and 70 runs scored across 75 games.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
