Fernando Tatis Jr. Shines In Return
6 years agoAfter missing over a month with a hamstring injury, San Diego Padres shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr. enjoyed a brilliant return to the lineup. Starting three of four games over the weekend against the Washington Nationals, Tatis finished 5-for-11 with a homer, steal and three runs scored. Supplying a noticeable spark to the scuffling Friars offense, the 20-year-old is slashing .315/.379/.577 on the year with seven long balls, seven steals and 32 runs-plus-RBI. Even with the lengthy stint on the shelf, Tatis has a realistic shot at a 20/20 season if he stays on the field. Still on the ascent, the star prospect is already a budding five-category fantasy stud.
