Fernando Tatis Jr. Slots Sixth In Major League Debut
6 years agoSan Diego Padres shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr. will bat sixth on Opening Day in his major league debut. The Padres surprised the league earlier this week by adding Tatis to the major league roster to begin the season. He'll face San Francisco Giants left-handed ace Madison Bumgarner. The 20-year-old will likely get regular starts if he proves he can handle big league pitching with consistency. Baseball’s No. 2 prospect cracked 16 homers and swiped 16 bases while posting a .862 OPS last season in Double-A. One of the most touted prospects in recent Padres history, Tatis should be added in all fantasy leagues for his massive upside.
