Fernando Tatis Jr. Smacks 30th Homer
3 years agoSan Diego Padres shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr. reached the 30-homer plateau Saturday, smacking a solo shot off Miami Marlins starting pitcher Braxton Garrett in the top of the first inning. Tatis Jr. also singled in four at-bats. Tatis Jr. has now accomplished the impressive feat of having 30 homers and 20 steals in a season, but he's stated that going 40-40 is his real goal. With 23 steals on the year, he'll have to get a move on in that department, but fantasy managers have to be thrilled with the numbers he's put up already, including a 1.024 OPS in 301 at-bats.
