2 years agoSan Diego Padres general manager AJ Preller said that shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr. (wrist) will begin his hitting progression on Friday. He has been doing more physical activity in the last few weeks and the team will take it week-to-week, increasing his swings and volume to progress towards games. The 23-year-old superstar had another wrist scan on Monday, and doctors have had differing opinions from the team's medical staff, but regardless, Tatis will begin swinging this weekend. The Padres will continue to be cautious with Tatis, and it's unlikely at this point that we'll see him make his season debut until August. It's nice to see him take the next step in his rehab, but fantasy managers must continue to practice patience.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
