First Multi-Homer Game For Amed Rosario
7 years agoFor those waiting for New York Mets shortstop Amed Rosario to make an impact, Sunday may be a day to remember. In a 4-1 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks, Rosario finished 2-for-3 with two home runs. The two longballs were his first two dingers of the season, and it marked the first multi-homer outing of Rosario’s young career. At one point Rosario was arguably the top prospect in all of baseball; his Major League career thus far has not quite lived up to the billing. Rosario is up to a .248/.273/.368 slash line with the two aforementioned bombs, a triple, eight doubles, 16 runs scored, 14 RBI, and one stolen base. The numbers aren’t great, but the potential power-speed threat could be a real fantasy asset if he truly gets going.
