6 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder Curtis Granderson needed to get his bat going if he was going to stop losing playing time to Randal Grichuk, who returned on June 1 from injury. Well, Granderson heard the message loud and clear and seems to be picking it up. In a 13-3 win over the Baltimore Orioles on Sunday, Granderson was an absolute monster. He finished 4-for-5 with a home run, two doubles, two runs scored, six RBI, and a walk. What a mouthful. After a prolonged slump for the Grandyman, he’s now homered in two of his last three games. As we’ve seen throughout Granderson’s career, he’s simply a very streaky player. When he’s hot, there are few better. When he’s cold, there are few worse. Given the playing time situation he makes for a risky add in most leagues, but if he’s in the lineup he certainly brings a lot to the table in DFS formats.--John Smith
