4 years agoKansas City Royals outfielder Franchy Cordero was scratched ahead of Wednesday's game versus the Cubs after injuring his wrist in batting practice. Manager Mike Matheny said his wrist "tightened up" during the pregame, but he doesn't believe there is any structural damage. Cordero is off to a sluggish start with his new team with four hits in 25 at-bats and no home runs. The 25-year-old has some untapped power/speed potential, but owners can afford to cut bait since he hasn't shown much life this year and could miss the next couple of games.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
