5 years agoSan Diego Padres outfielder Franchy Cordero (quad) will likely be out until September, per manager Andy Green. Cordero, who is on the 60-day IL and has just 20 plate appearances this season, is experiencing tendon issues alongside his quad injury. This is another serious blow for the exciting 24-year-old who is probably staring at another lost season. His extended absence paves the way for outfielder Josh Naylor to remain in the big leagues as a left-handed platoon bat, at least until Travis Jankowski (wrist) returns.--Andrew Le - RotoBaller
