7 years agoAfter a groin injury kept him from making the Padres Opening Day roster, outfielder Franchy Cordero is set to begin a rehab assignment with the Triple-A El Paso Chihuahuas Friday night. San Diego Union-Tribune writer Kevin Acee reports that Cordero will likely rejoin the Padres "before too long." Cordero offers double-digit home runs and steals for fantasy owners, and will likely be the Padres center fielder when Manuel Margot is given the night off.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
