7 years agoUpdating a previous report, San Diego Padres outfielder Franchy Cordero (elbow) will be shut down indefinitely following test results from an elbow specialist. Cordero was on a rehab assignment when he suffered a setback over the weekend. Manager Andy Green admitted it's "highly unlikely [the Padres will] see him anytime soon." The team hasn't made the results public, but Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union-Tribune speculates Cordero could be out for the remainder of the season. This would be a massive blow for one of the Padres most exciting young players. With the extended absence, Cordero can be dropped in all standard fantasy formats. With outfielder Wil Myers' (oblique) imminent return, outfielders Hunter Renfroe, Travis Jankowski and Franmil Reyes will share time in left field.--Andrew Le - RotoBaller
