Francisco Cervelli Homers, Drives in Six on Wednesday
7 years agoPittsburgh Pirates catcher Francisco Cervelli had a monster game against the Detroit Tigers on Wednesday, going 3-for-4 with a home run and six runs batted in. Cervelli launched a three-run bomb in the third inning, notched an RBI single in the fifth and capped off his big day with a two-run double in the eighth. Although the Pirates came up short in Game 1 of the doubleheader despite his huge performance, Cervelli is firmly on the fantasy radar after his hot start to the season. He now holds a .944 OPS with three home runs and 18 RBI through 77 plate appearances, making him well worth a look in most leagues at the shallowest position in fantasy baseball.
