Francisco Cervelli Homers, Drives in Two on Saturday
7 years agoPittsburgh Pirates catcher Francisco Cervelli just keeps hitting. He slugged his fourth home run of the season in a win over the St. Louis Cardinals on Saturday, a solo shot off of Jack Flaherty in the second inning. He added a sacrifice fly in the sixth inning, giving him 20 RBI on the year. Cervelli is now 7-for-14 with two home runs and eight RBI over his last four games. He likely won't keep this pace up all season, but good health and a change in batting stance make this more than a fluky start for the 31-year-old.
