3 years agoNew York Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor (oblique) faced live pitching on Tuesday. He reportedly could be activated from the injured list next week. The former Cleveland Guardian has been sidelined since mid-July with a Grade 2 oblique strain. Lindor will continue to participate in baseball activities and could begin a rehab assignment soon. The 27-year-old is trending in the right direction and, barring a setback, could be reinstated from the injured list ahead of next week's series against the Giants. Lindor has struggled this season with his new team, slashing .228/.326/.376 with 11 home runs, 36 RBI, 49 runs scored, and eight stolen bases over 364 plate appearances in 2021.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
