Francisco Lindor Showing Signs Of Life At The Plate
4 years agoNew York Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor went 2-for-4 with two runs scored and a walk in the Mets' 5-1 win over the Phillies on Wednesday. Lindor, who is off to a slow start to begin the 2021 campaign and his Mets' career, raised his batting average to .222 over 27 at-bats on the season. After a great spring training in which Lindor hit .370 with four home runs and 14 RBI, Lindor's bat has cooled off since the regular season began. Wednesday's performance is, hopefully, a sign that he is about to break out. Realizing that it has only been eight games, managers should certainly keep Lindor active in all formats. Although Lindor had a down year in 2020, expectations are high for him in 2021 hitting in the potent Mets' lineup. It is only a matter of time before Lindor's bat gets going and fantasy managers who have him rostered reap the benefits.
