3 years agoNew York Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor (oblique) took batting practice on Wednesday, Newsday Sports reported. This marks the first time the 27-year-old switch-hitter has taken BP since being sidelined with a Grade 2 oblique strain in mid-July. Lindor's on-field activities have accelerated in preparation for his return, although there is still no exact timetable set in place. Prior to the injury, Lindor hit .333/.489/.500 with two home runs, 10 RBI, and two stolen bases with nine runs scored on 12 hits in 12 games during the month of July.--Chelena Goldman
