Francisco Lindor With Three More Hits On Saturday
4 years agoNew York Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor went a perfect 3-for-3 with a walk on Saturday in Grapefruit League play against the Houston Astros. Lindor is now batting a robust .388/.444/.653 with four home runs, 14 RBI, and one stolen base in 49 spring training at-bats. After a sluggish start to spring training, Lindor is now tearing the cover off the ball with Opening Day only days away. Although Lindor had a down year in 2020, expectations are high for him in 2021 hitting in the potent Mets' lineup. The Mets' window to lock Lindor up to a multi-year deal is beginning to close, as Lindor has indicated he will not negotiate once the season begins. As such, the Mets would be well-served to get a deal done in the next few days or risk losing him to the free-agent market after the season concludes. The five-category threat shortstop is, justifiably, being drafted as one of the top three shortstops taken off of boards in fantasy drafts.
