3 years agoNew York Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor went a combined 2-for-7 with an RBI in the Mets doubleheader split with the Brewers on Wednesday. Lindor is now batting .300/.500/.300 with four RBI and five runs scored over his last seven games (20 at-bats). He has incrementally raised his batting average from .213 to .220 over this period. Stating the obvious, it has been a rough campaign for Lindor where has posted an uninspiring .220/.318/.356 slash line with just nine homers and 30 RBI in 82 games. An overall hard-hit rate of 42% and a walk rate of 11% (both the highest of his career), combined with a barrel rate and exit velocity in line with his career averages all suggest better days ahead for the 27-year-old. Hopefully, Lindor can build off of his recent performance as we head into the 2021 All-Star break and he comes out of the gate strong in the second half. As a potential buy-low target in all formats, fantasy managers should keep their faith in Lindor.--Nick Ritrivi - RotoBaller
