3 years agoTampa Bay Rays catcher Francisco Mejia went 2-for-3 with two doubles and a run scored during Friday's 11-1 loss to the Blue Jays. The Rays catcher doubled twice on Friday and recorded his eighth multi-hit effort of the season. He's starting to heat up and has now logged at least one hit in four of his last six games. Mejia has been serviceable in two-catcher formats, slashing .256/.317/.388 with three home runs, 11 extra-base hits, 14 RBI, and 11 runs scored across 143 plate appearances in 2021. The 25-year-old backstop can be used as a streaming option at catcher while he continues to wield a hot bat.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
