4 years agoTampa Bay Rays catcher Francisco Mejia collected a season-high three hits on Tuesday night, finishing 3-for-4 with two doubles and a run scored in a 4-3 win over the Athletics. Tuesday's performance now brings Mejia's line up to .311/.333/.489 with five doubles, one home run and six RBI through 14 games. Mejia has been splitting time behind the plate with Mike Zunino, but if he can continue to hit the way he has early on, Mejia could soon start to see more playing time.
