Frank Ragnow Out For Season
3 years agoDetroit Lions center Frank Ragnow (toe) will have season-ending surgery and will be placed on the injured reserve list. Ragnow suffered the injury in Week 4 and was hopeful to play in Week 5, but further evaluation showed that he would need surgery to ensure he is fully healthy for the 2022 campaign. This is a big loss for the Lions, who signed Ragnow to a $54 million contract extension this offseason. They are already missing offensive tackle Taylor Decker, so the offense could struggle even more than usual with their banged-up offensive line. D'Andre Swift and Jamaal Williams are a huge part of the game plan, so this news isn't exactly ideal for their outlooks moving forward. Still, Swift's fantasy value shouldn't be changed too much as his role in the passing game could make up for any inefficiency as a ball-carrier
