Frank Schwindel Leaves Early Friday
2 years agoChicago Cubs first baseman Frank Schwindel (back) left the game early on Friday against the Atlanta Braves due to lower-back tightness. Schwindel suffered the injury while running to base in the second inning and was replaced in the third inning. The Cubs will continue to evaluate the 29-year-old heading into Saturday's action against Atlanta, and fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day until we know more. Schwindel has been decent from a power perspective, hitting eight home runs and driving in 33 in 227 at-bats coming into the day on Friday, while he's slashing .238/.283/.388 with 21 runs scored in 61 games played.
