3 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher Frankie Montas delivered his third consecutive quality start Friday night against the Seattle Mariners, delivering six innings with three runs allowed on four hits and a walk. He struck out 10 batters, ultimately taking a no-decision in the outing. Montas now has 10 quality starts in 20 games this year, and carries an 8-8 record with a 4.34 ERA, 1.28 WHIP, and 122 strikeouts in 112 innings for the season. He's worthy of a roster spot, offering a safe floor despite not achieving high-end ratios.--Doug Goldring - RotoBaller
