6 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher Frankie Montas was charged with his second loss of the season in Sunday's 15-3 game against the Indians. Montas allowed three runs on nine hits and no walks with six strikeouts in 5 2/3 innings. The 25-year-old flamethrower has been a pleasant surprise since being called up, posting a 4-2 record with a 3.83 ERA, a 5.95 K/9 rate, and a 2.76 BB/9 rate through seven starts.
