7 years agoWith rosters expanding on Saturday, the Oakland Athletics recalled shortstop prospect Franklin Barreto from Triple-A Nashville and activated outfielder Matt Joyce (back) from the disabled list. Barreto has hit .246 with four homers and 13 RBI in 61 at-bats for the A's this year. He has long-term upside in dynasty leagues, but he's unlikely to play enough down the stretch to be a redraft option. Joyce has played in just 64 games this season due to injury and was batting .203/.311/.359 with seven home runs and 13 RBI. He can be an option against right-handers but probably won't play much either.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
