Franmil Reyes Finally Muted Saturday
6 years agoSan Diego Padres outfielder Franmil Reyes went 0-for-4 Saturday, ending his 12-game hitting streak. The evening marked only his third hitless game in the last 28 contests. Since August 21, the impressive slugger has been on fire, batting .375 (33-for-88) with seven long balls. Reyes is a hot waiver wire pickup in the final week of the season and his dynasty value is firmly trending upwards. If he stays put in San Diego, Reyes has earned a clear path to a starting role in 2019. The power is durable, by carrying this plate approach over to next season, he’ll be a popular late-round fantasy power option.
