6 years agoSan Diego Padres outfielder Franmil Reyes blasted his 15th homer Monday against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Reyes’ two-run shot in the sixth inning determined the outcome in a tight 2-1 contest. Through 48 games, the 23-year-old slugger holds a sturdy .258/.299/.596 slash with 48 runs-plus-RBI. Reyes is both walking and striking out less this season but pummeling the ball with immense authority (.615 expected slugging). He’s one long ball away from the 16 he smacked during his 2018 rookie campaign in 121 fewer plate appearances.
