2 years agoThe Cleveland Guardians optioned outfielder Franmil Reyes to Triple-A Columbus on Tuesday. Oscar Gonzalez (intercostal) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list in a corresponding move. Reyes has struggled mightily this season, slashing .213/.254/.350 with nine home runs and 28 RBI across 280 plate appearances in 70 games. The 27-year-old smashed 30 homers and drove in 85 runs in 2021. He will look to get back on track in the minors, but fantasy managers can move on from Reyes in most league formats. Gonzalez slashed .285/.315/.431 with a pair of home runs and 14 RBI in 32 games before getting injured. The 24-year-old is a speculative add in deep-league formats and should see everyday at-bats as the team's starting right fielder.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
