3 years agoCleveland Guardians designated hitter Franmil Reyes (hamstring) was placed on the injured list on Thursday with right hamstring tightness. The move will be retroactive to Wednesday, May 25. Reyes was also out on Wednesday. The 26-year-old has had a tough year so far in 35 games for the Guardians, so perhaps a little break will be the right remedy for the power-hitting right-hander. Reyes is slashing .195/.255/.278 with only three home runs, 12 RBI and nine runs scored in 145 plate appearances this year. He has hit just .095 with a double, an RBI and eight strikeouts in seven games since suffering his injury. Third baseman Jose Ramirez will serve as the DH on Thursday and hit third, while Ernie Clement gets the start at third base and is hitting seventh against Tigers left-hander Tarik Skubal.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
