Franmil Reyes Traded To Cleveland

5 years agoThe Cleveland Indians have acquired outfielder Franmil Reyes, per The Athletic’s Dennis Lin. In a three-way trade, the Indians are shipping starter Trevor Bauer to the Cincinnati Reds for outfielder Yasiel Puig and receive Reyes and pitcher Logan Allen from San Diego. The deal sends the Reds No. 1 prospect Taylor Trammell to the Friars. The 24-year-old Reyes has mashed 27 homers in a strong 2019 campaign. His fantasy value will receive a boost as he should get regular opportunities in a more hitter-friendly park. While Reyes was a fan favorite in San Diego, his skillset was redundant to fellow slugger Hunter Renfroe, who’s also emerged with 29 jacks this season.
