6 years agoSan Diego Padres shortstop Freddy Galvis is finishing 2018 on a high note, currently riding a four-game hitting streak and collecting 20 knocks in his last 43 at-bats (.465 average). After a poor offensive showing early on, Galvis walloped six homers in August and is batting .298 with 10 extra-base hits in September. His .247/.300/.382 season line, 13 long balls and 127 R+RBI have matched his output last year in Philadelphia. Galvis will be a free-agent entering the offseason but his durability and tremendous defense will certainly allot him an opportunity to start somewhere, especially considering his strong finish with the bat. The 28-year-old switch-hitter doesn’t generate much fantasy appeal but could be a low-cost DFS or deep-league option next season.--Andrew Le - RotoBaller
