Freddy Peralta Having An Average Spring So Far
3 years agoMilwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Freddy Peralta is having himself a decent spring so far. The hard-throwing 25-year-old has put up a 4.50 ERA, 1.10 WHIP, and 10:2 K/BB ratio over three starts (10 innings). While the ERA and strikeout numbers aren't phenomenal, it's nice to see that Peralta has only issued two free passes through his three starts. He should get one final tune-up before the regular season begins and will operate as the Brewers' third starter behind Corbin Burnes and Brandon Woodruff. Peralta is coming off a breakout season in 2021 in which he posted a 10-5 record to go along with a sparkling 2.81 ERA, 0.97 WHIP, and 195:56 K/BB ratio over 144 1/3 innings (27 starts).
