2 years agoMilwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Freddy Peralta (lat) struck out five hitters while allowing an unearned run on three hits with no walks in 3 1/3 innings in his minor league rehab start for Triple-A Nashville on Friday night. He was also able to touch 96 mph with his fastball while throwing 52 pitches in the outing. The 26-year-old right-hander might need to make another outing in the minors, but he's not far off from returning to the Brewers rotation. Peralta last started in the majors on May 22, so he'll be a bit more risky when he initially returns to Milwaukee. Before his injury, he was 3-2 with a 4.42 ERA (2.11 FIP), 1.19 WHIP, 50 strikeouts and 13 walks in 38 2/3 innings over eight starts. Stash him now if he's somehow available on your league's waiver wire.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
