Freddy Peralta To Start Rehab Assignment Saturday
2 years agoMilwaukee Brewers manager Craig Counsell said that starting pitcher Freddy Peralta (lat) will make his first minor league rehab start on Saturday for Triple-A Nashville. "He's on a five-day schedule, his first outing will be multiple innings and then we're just going to build him up an inning at a time," Counsell said. Peralta has been out since May 22, so he's going to need multiple rehab outings before the Brewers return him to their starting rotation, possibly by mid-August. Despite posting a 4.42 ERA in his first eight starts of the season, Peralta has a nice 2.10 FIP with a 1.19 WHIP, 50 strikeouts and 13 walks over 38 2/3 innings in 2022. The 26-year-old righty should be picked up and stashed if he's available in your fantasy league right now.
