Full Steam Ahead For Tyrod Taylor As No. 1 QB
6 years agoCleveland Browns quarterback Tyrod Taylor appears to be hurtling toward making the start in the regular season opener, and he might be under center for the long haul. "Why? I will tell you the reason why: We are learning a new system, and I think Tyrod needs every rep he can get with the ones." It's the most definitive answer yet to the quarterback battle. While the fans might want to see Mayfield, the future of the franchise, start from the get go, it appears the former Buffalo Bills signal caller is the man for now. With weapons like wide receivers Antonio Callaway, Jarvis Landry and potentially Josh Gordon, as well as tight end David Njoku and running backs Carlos Hyde and Nick Chubb, Taylor has some nice weapons at his disposal. Still, he is nothing more than a QB2 in most fantasy formats.
