7 years agoNew York Giants tight end Evan Engram is more confident heading into his sophomore season. "The thing I’ve noticed, just being out here, going full-speed, is that the game is a lot more slowed down. The game has slowed down a lot. And that’s allowing me to kind of dig deeper into my bag of route techniques, or getting open and being able to focus more on the run game and getting stronger and just getting more comfortable out there," Engram said. Engram started out slow in his rookie season but finished up strong and caught 64 passes for 722 yards and six touchdowns to finish as a consistent TE1 for fantasy owners. However, season-ending injuries to both Odell Beckham Jr. and Brandon Marshall helped Engram become one of the most targeted pass catchers in the offense, especially with Sterling Shepard missing some time with injury, too. Engram still profiles as a TE1 heading into his second season, but the return of a healthy OBJ could make it difficult for Engram to duplicate his numbers from 2017.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
