2 years agoMiami Marlins outfielder Garrett Cooper (wrist) was hit by a pitch in the wrist in Saturday's 1-0 loss to the Pittsburgh Pirates. He entered the game as a pinch hitter for Luke Williams in the eighth inning and was forced to exit after being hit by a pitch. It was the exact spot of the wrist that Cooper had surgery on in 2018. The x-ray "showed something," Cooper said. Miami is waiting on CT scans to determine the severity of the injury. Cooper played well until the injury, slashing .279/.347/.426 with seven homers and 40 RBI across 84 games. Bleday would see an uptick in playing time if Cooper misses any games. Stay tuned.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
