4 years agoChicago White Sox left-handed pitcher Garrett Crochet (forearm) was pulled from Game 3 of Thursday’s wild-card series versus Oakland after just nine pitches due to forearm tightness. Crochet struck out both batters that he faced, giving him a combined 6 ⅔ scoreless innings this season with 10 strikeouts. The nature of forearm tightness is never reassuring when it comes to a pitcher, as Crochet’s status will undoubtedly be up in the air should the White Sox advance to the ALDS. The 11th overall pick in the 2020 MLB Draft, Crochet appears to be a significant cog for the White Sox moving forward, so check back for the latest injury updates.--Jesse Borek
