Garrett Hampson Collects Four Hits On Wednesday
3 years agoColorado Rockies outfielder Garrett Hampson went 4-for-5 with two RBI and a run scored in a 6-2 win over the Pirates on Wednesday. Hampson had himself a day at the dish, collecting four hits for the second time this season. He picked up an RBI double in the fifth inning and notched an RBI single in the sixth as the Rockies came back from an early 2-0 deficit. Hampson has now started back-to-back games and has picked up six hits over that span so that could lead to more playing time the rest of the week. Yonathan Daza and Brendan Rodgers have become mainstays in the Rockies' lineup, which has left Hampson as the odd man out more often than not. He's slashing .257/.309/.440 with six home runs, 21 RBI, and 12 stolen bases on the season but only has two thefts in the month of June.
