3 years agoColorado Rockies outfielder Garrett Hampson went 2-for-5 with a double, a strikeout, and was caught stealing in a 6-4 loss to the Mariners on Tuesday. Hampson led off for the Rockies in this one and reached base in his first at-bat with a single but was caught stealing for the fourth time this year when he tried to swipe second. He picked up a double later in the contest as well but wasn't able to come around and score. The speedy Hampson has just one stolen base since June 9 but is hitting .271 over his last 15 contests. Overall, he's slashing .251/.299/.407 with six home runs, 21 RBI, and 13 stolen bases over 295 at-bats. He doesn't hold much fantasy value unless he's getting on base and stealing bases and he hasn't done much of either over the last month.--Jon Mathisen - RotoBaller
