3 years agoColorado Rockies outfielder Garrett Hampson went 3-for-4 with three singles, a strikeout, and was caught stealing in a 7-5 win over the San Diego Padres on Wednesday. Hampson started in center field and hit out of the number two hole on Wednesday and reached base three times with three singles. It was his second multi-hit game of the month but he was also caught stealing. The 26-year-old speedster has just two stolen bases since July 1, which is troubling for a player that's typically rostered for his theft potential. He's slashing a lowly .237/.290/.371 with six home runs, 21 RBI, and 14 swipes on the year. His fantasy relevancy is hanging on by a thread these days as he doesn't play every day and can't hit for average.--Jon Mathisen - RotoBaller
