4 years agoSan Diego Padres starter Garrett Richards cannot wait to get going in a prove-it season. The Friars projected No. 3 starter has made just 31 appearances since 2016, dealing with myriad injuries including Tommy John surgery in 2018. Richards signed a two-year deal with the Padres before last season with the intention to rehab and gear up for 2020. Neither the team nor Richards believe there will be any restrictions in his workload. A power pitcher with a career 3.60 ERA, the 32-year-old is anxious to rejuvenate his career. Wallowing on draft boards with a 272 ADP, Richards is certainly worth a late-round flier in standard leagues.--Andrew Le - RotoBaller
