Garrett Richards Knocked Out In Second Inning Wednesday
3 years agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher Garrett Richards struggled once again Wednesday, failing to make it out of the second inning against the Tampa Bay Rays. Richards allowed five runs, four of which were earned, on three hits and four walks in 1 2/3 innings. He struck out none and allowed two home runs. Richards has not posted a quality start since June 1, and it seems the crackdown on sticky stuff is having an effect on Richards, who has been working with a new repertoire over the last two starts. With a 4.74 ERA and 1.67 WHIP, he can be dropped from fantasy rosters.
