4 years agoSan Diego Padres starter Garrett Richards pitched well in a no-decision Sunday against the Arizona Diamondbacks, completing five frames of shutout ball. A sleeper in fantasy circles, Richards fanned six while issuing three free passes and a double. He was a bit wild, locating only 44 of 73 pitches for strikes. After appearing in just 31 contests since 2016, the Friars are expected to unleash Richards in a prove-it season. The hard-throwing righty deserves rostering in all standard formats but has a challenging test next weekend in Coors Field against the Colorado Rockies.--Andrew Le - RotoBaller
