4 years agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher Garrett Richards made a poor first impression in Sunday's loss to the Orioles, allowing six runs in two-plus innings. Richards allowed three straight hits to start the game, and after striking out two consecutive batters, he grooved a 3-0 fastball to Maikel Franco that was ripped for a two-run double. Richards pitched a scoreless second inning but was pulled after allowing the first three batters to reach in the third, with two of those on walks. Richards' track record and contract will earn him more starts, but this was a concerning debut for fantasy managers. He'll get a rematch against Baltimore next time out, but he's not a recommended streamer.--Daniel Fox
